need i say more? yes?
this game is basically the car equivalent of playing with legos, but if your platonic ideal of playing legos is "follow the guide to make the lego that is on the box and then take it apart and then do that again and again". as someone in that category, this game is basically just comfort food but in game form.
i should add that i don't know anything about cars and i don't care about cars, but going "bzz bzz" with a power drill screwdriver thing and replacing gunky parts with shiny chromed parts is just really satisfying. i love playing this when i feel sick or tired and not up to doing real person things.
CMS2015 is pretty similar and has slightly better gameplay in general but the shiny chromed parts are less shiny in it which is unfortunately taking a lot away from the experience for me.
This is certainly the first and the best mechanical simulator. You learn basics of mechanic as a simulator normaly is supposed to do. But after many hours playing... no working... it feel that there is boring jobs so finaly we do only brakes or other simple task because other hard and boring task doesn't satisfy. You'll earn much more money but... there is no really challenge. Exept maybe finding the problem but we have tools for that. And you need to work many time to unlock all tools... Many time repairing brakes... The junkyards are not interesting, if you buy everything and resell it, there is no bonus or malus. there is no rarity... There is not enough random things exept models of cars interaction. And then there is no satisfaction making a car. It would be more interesting if we work for compétition or else... but here we work... for nothing.
But if you like wheeler dealers series and imagine you are the guy of the series, you can be satisfied.
4 stars for the best mechanic basics tutorial ! ;)
This game is nice from the technical point but almost trash from gameplay point, it's plainly boring, grinding and repetitive. Car customization is pointlessly limited, you can't change engines, tuning is mostly formal and poorly developed. The UI is just evil, man. You have to go to inventory, memorize a thing you need to buy, then go to store, buy it, then repeat it again for other thing, or an engine's specific part, so you have to remember it's full name, and most parts are engine's specific.
