My unimportant review on LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean!

(This review is my opinion and thoughts, none of it is facts, at least I don't think…) I’ve played a handful of Lego games and this is my favorite, up there with Lego Lord of the Rings. I beat all the levels and completely completed at least half of the levels. If you don't know what a lego game is, well… just check one out! Or read the review by PlainSimpleGarak… I hold this dear to me because, well, its a Lego game! But also because I used to play this with my mom all the time. Thats the reason it gets 5 stars for the most part. It was still fun while playing on my own too though, if I didn’t have good memories playing with my mom this’d get 3-4/5.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game

I don't know why, but somehow I didn't like it. Maybe I'm just not the biggest Pirates of the Caribbeans fan. Actually, it must be because it was basically a solid Lego game, nothing really bad at least.

Delightful LEGO game
This review is for the Nintendo DS version

Played this on the DS and it was just fun. I love LEGO games in general, so am probably biased. My favorite things was whenever Jack Sparrow would run - wobbling side to side and waving his arms. Cracked me up every time.

One of the better LEGO games

Do you know what a LEGO game is? If yes then you know how this plays. If no - it's a mild action puzzle game with a generally gentle difficulty and some decent humor. Aimed at kids and fans of the movies, it's what I consider a casual game. It's also one that forces you to replay levels to get to completion. If you don't like repetition this game will quickly grow old.

I like the Lego games, because of the co-op play mode and the general dumb fun of it all. It's no high art, but it's a good game to kick back and relax while playing with kids or friends. I also admit I don't mind the repetitive nature of replaying the levels, but its not for everyone.

For a LEGO game this is one of my favorites. It's got the right balance of complex and classic. The secret areas are surprisingly expansive and some of them are reasonably challenging to discover. It's got some fun trophies, interesting puzzles and simple controls. It feels like the original Star Wars games, but upgraded in almost every way.

If you like LEGO games, this is a great one to play. If you don't like LEGO games this won't win you to the franchise. The new stuff is limited to minor improvements that will make a fan smile, but won't sway anyone who doesn't like the style.

A delightful little game, ideal to play in between something more complex. It’s not very challenging but contains just the right amount of collectables to keep you going without overwhelming. I rarely go for the 100% of collectables but it kept me going through this game and it was a really fun experience
