I wanted to love this game. It has such a great vibe and I love the jump cut tone shifting and art style. However the inventory management ruins the game. I made it about 2/3 through the game before I was fed up with having to constantly run back to the box. I get limiting resources but this went too far. I kept over filling my inventory and would take nothing with me. The inventory management on top of the enemy respawning made me walk away.

Not a good start for me just about fell asleep at the start of the game and it hasn't gotten much better, not much horror involved unless the real horror of the game is getting stuck trying to find things to progress or not being able to take them with you due to only having 6 inventory slots and dealing …

I'm gonna file this one under "not for me".

Too slow and plodding, I get that's probably the point and for the tension but I'm just having no fun with the movement or the "combat" such that it is. The art style is great the story seems promising, but the process of getting to all that? Joyless. I can see …

I can see where everyone else is having fun, but it just doesn't click for me, definitely gonna watch a let's play or a stream for the story though!

Signalis was snubbed. No best indie game nor best debut? Sad, man. Yet it came out before God of War and that game is still nominated.

Agh, keep seeing such huge praise for this game, and it sounds exactly like something I would like, but I bounced off of it for some reason. Right when I wasn't really feeling it, I got frustrated at a couple points back-to-back where I couldn't find something then couldn't get a puzzle solved for the life of me, so that …

Right when I wasn't really feeling it, I got frustrated at a couple points back-to-back where I couldn't find something then couldn't get a puzzle solved for the life of me, so that definitely didn't help either. The style was cool though. Going to have to try again later on in a different mood/mindset.

Minor spoiler: the first ending is fake. After the credits roll, you have to start a new game to move on to the third chapter. I found that out in a YouTube video. It might not be a major issue, but it kinda killed it for me. At that moment, the game stopped being an immersive experience and became just... a game to beat.

And then it starts throwing multiple enemies at you room after room. What was, at first, a lingering sense of dread and despair becomes simply irritating. At first, the game teaches you to think strategically because everything is limited (even saves). You're always low on health and ammo, but you can manage - barely - and that was the best survival horror experience I was having.

But then, it just throws that out the window. Instead of being strategic, you just have to run and shoot and use up all your resources to run and shoot some more. And while the gunplay and controls lend themselves well to a survival horror experience, they're not at all suitable for such more action-oriented sequences.

It could've easily been one of the best games I've played, but, in my opinion, Signalis overstays its welcome.

So, am I being too sensitive? Or do I have a point here?

Why does this game already have review ratings when it hasn't come out yet? People, stop doing that. You're messing with the rating system...
