One of my favorite new horror game trends is the "found cursed children's media" genre. Popularized by Amanda the Adventurer, you explore a set environment, finding new tapes/cartridges, and slowly solve puzzles in both the game/tv and the real world.
Benny Bash is easily my favorite game in the genre. This time it spoofs Super Mario World, and the gameplay is just great. My biggest issue with Amanda is how obscure and impossible the puzzles are (which some people love). Here, they are so well designed and the perfect level of challenge.
It also has genuinely scary moments, so much creativity, and a great dithered look to the whole game. If you enjoy the puzzle solving and vibe of Inscryption, you will feel right at home. But ya 10/10 for me, loved every minute.
