I played some Destruction All Stars the other day, a very “okay” game. Between stuff like that and Onrush, all I can ever think afterwards is that someone should be making Blur 2. Destroying cars violently is fun, but it’s much more fun in my opinion if you’re actually racing them at the same time, because then there’s ultimately a more meaningful objective than just some arbitrary points system and you get the inherent variation of a race track over a round demolition derby arena. This game hit that exact note, with various power-ups and things like Mario Kart mixed with Need for Speed.

Anyway, to my surprise, apparently the studio who made Destruction All Stars actually has lineage back to Blur, PGR, and Wipeout, with a couple dissolutions and mergers along the way. Anyone else love this game back in the day?
