Main game
3.33 average rating based on 3 ratings
I know I’m not really giving this a great rating, but I definitely think it was an improvement over the second game. While the first game is by far the best, the second game was such a nosedive in quality - the most illogical impossible puzzles and a pretty stale atmosphere. Thankfully, the puzzles in 3 are probably the easiest in the whole series. Dumbing them down a bit is absolutely required to make these games playable without a walkthrough.
While I definitely missed probably 3/4 of the Easter eggs and secrets, the mainline puzzles were actually doable and logical. But the atmosphere in this game is probably the most stale of the series. Nothing in the sequels comes close to the creepy dusty attack with a lone VCR and TV that was the first game.
The story was fairly interesting and definitely answered a lot more questions as well. The tapes were solid and nailed the creepypasta vibe (as usual). But the best compliment I can give this game: THANK YOU for actually making some logical and solvable puzzles.

It’s a great concept, with the Coco Melon / YouTube Kids type 3D show that is cursed. But outside of the tapes themselves, the 3D environments just aren’t that interesting. But I still had a decent time, and think this is overall a massive improvement over the second game.
