The 3DO version adopts a unique multimedia approach to the concept of a movie tie-in. Cutscenes and clips from the film are used when appropriate, but Stallone and actual props from the film (such as his uniform) were also brought in to shoot bluescreen clips specifically for the game. Beat on the hardest difficulty. I had significant trouble aiming diagonally and ended up having to shoot constantly while alternating direction to prevent the guy from moving. It was not until the final boss that I realized the other shoot button locked him in place. I had to watch a video on how to kill the final boss. I both shot and hit him with a cryo grenade while he was jumping but neither did anything. I did not think to try standing directly below him and throwing grenades through the floor. It was very annoying that pressing down to duck below incoming bullets would not work if you shot recently, because he would instead stand there like a moron shooting down. The controls could have used some polishing. I liked the top down levels a bit better because there was no platforming and it was a little easier to find out where to go. I did not really notice an improvement for gun power ups in top down though. The game reminds me a lot of the Judge Dredd game but a little simpler.
