The game is an hour long, but it has been worth it for every minute I played. I saw interesting bugs, played as a cool frog detective, went into holes, solved a mystery, and ended up busting some moves and grooving by the end of it. What's not to love about all that in one whole hour?

Frog Detective says
Forget all that. We'll just make the game a visual novel and we'll telegraph when the mystery is gunna be solved so you can stop and take your guesses in real life and you'll find out shortly after if you were right.
And you know what? It mostly works. The game is so light that it feels silly to criticize it for not being more mechanically involved. Frog Detective is solving a mystery involving ghost scientists and a dance party. If you're expecting to examine blood spatter and cross examine lying crooks, you've come to the wrong mystery game.
Frog Detective is a light, funny, wholesome mystery visual novel. I recommend performing all the characters for your children with silly voices. I had to take a few breaks from performing the characters so I could laugh out loud.

Silly, simple, and fun. There isn’t much else to say about Frog Detective. You could tell the creator had a great time making this and it was a nice straight forward wacky mystery to solve. The controls were really nice and the dialogue was weird in the best way. A great bite sized mystery that doesn’t require too much effort …

What a cute, silly game. A very pleasant way to spend an hour and get some chuckles. The magnifying glass wasn't really needed for anything, but it was fun to just point it at random shit lol. Disappointed we never got to solve the real mystery on the island: "who took my sunglases"

This game gave me the giggles several times. I'll definitely play the sequel at some point.

I'm sick with a cold and this charming and silly little one-hour adventure is just what the doctor ordered. (I mean, not literally. Literally what the doctor ordered was vitamins and rest and plenty of fluids.)

incredibly satisfying point+click adventure game with hilarious writing, takes about an hour and full of charming details. think keita takahashi makes la noire.
