It becomes very clear, very early, that this game is ridiculously hard. Its simple premise -- where you just control an aerobatic ship and avoid obstacles -- seems cute but it is punishing... so very punishing. You just press X to bounce up, but if you combine Up or Down, you can either do a super jump or an anti-jump, and there's another button to change your ship's color. You have to pass through lines and other obstacles that slowly get introduced by being the correct color, so the bulk of the gameplay consists of you flip-flopping on that, and did I say it's very hard? There's also a pretty killer soundtrack in there so at least while you're ripping your hair out you can listen to some neat tunes.
I'm not really a gamer who is madly in love with this "super hard game" craze. I don't get the same enjoyment out of it as some people do, partially because I lived through the NES. I'm not saying others didn't, but I feel like I've done my time, so to speak. I like a decent challenge, but I like seeing what a game has to offer in full rather than spending hours getting stuck. Anybody who is in love with games like Dark Souls, Super Meat Boy, etc, will most likely give this at least a 9 because it is very good at what it does.
