From running through merry-go-rounds to motion-control minigolf, this jamboree is jam-packed with over 110 minigames – the most of any Mario Party game to date! With seven boards in all, you can go with the flow in Goomba Lagoon, search for stars in Rainbow Galleria, revisit the classics of Western Land and Mario’s Rainbow Castle from past titles and more. Race across the party board in Koopathlon, a series-first 20-player online competition to see who can rack up the highest scores in minigames like the fast-paced Lane Change. I only played a few matches and finished the single player, but I've been enjoying this game so far. My main complaints are that some mini-games (particular the buddy ones) feel really long. They can last up to 3+ minutes whereas they were 30-60 seconds in older games. And the buddy system in general is obnoxiously powerful and game changing. Other than that, I've been enjoying the character selection, the minigames, and the boards. Can't believe most Mario Partys only let us choose between about 10 characters. I'm sure I'm going to be playing the party mode and ton more and diving into the other modes.

Do NOT zipline yourself to here. Also worst mistake of my life.enter image description here

This is a completely understandable criticism given it's true, but it's also a central aspect of the entire Mario Party franchise. Yes, you can be the best at mini games, but also yes, the game is going to take your stars away and give it to other players. That's the franchise in a nutshell.
