i thought games could get me to stay. silksong is working so hard to keep me around, but it might not be enough. nothing might not be enough anymore. the game is perfect, but life is simply too crushing. at this point, i would rather live in hollownest or pharloom than in the real world.

I think I'm just not into this game any more. The third act is turning to be a bit of a chore. The other day I played for a bit and got into yet another seemingly interminable challenge room and after finishing it I just realised that I was extremely bored and quit.

But then I got to the Coral Tower. What an utter disaster. Just bad. Boring, tedious, uninspired. One boring gauntlet after another with some of the most annoying enemies in the game.
Previously I said that the MMO sidequests were the second worst part of the game, now I remember that the second worst part of the game is all the useless gauntlets. They suck in general, but when they are used instead of a boss fight, they are particularly irritating.

It is done.
Nana SIlk was fun but strangely easy. Cross Stitch really helped out, since I could parry her claw attack and do a bunch of damage.

After months I picked up Silksong again. I cheeses Groal the terrible and did a few side quests. I found Shakra's mentor, I got infected and cured.
I'm now just before playing the threefold melody. What should I do before going for it?
