I quite enjoyed this, save for the gigantic info dump in the eleventh hour. It unfortunate because anyone paying attention throughout the game would have already pieced all the information together rendering all that exposition unnecessary. I quite enjoyed this, save for the gigantic info dump in the eleventh hour. It unfortunate because anyone paying attention throughout the game would have already pieced all the information together rendering all that exposition unnecessary. I appreciate that it was framed as an attempt to explain the situation to a crucial NPC, but it’s clear that NPC is the standing for the audience in that moment, a proxy for the player and for whom the protagonist is laying down the facts of Regis III. This is out and so are reviews. As I feared, they are mixed. I love the style and the setting, so I might try it out anyway.

Holy sweet god, this thing was set to “Epic” quality for all graphical settings by default. It nearly killed my Steam Deck. Damn thing was running at 3 frame per second. Switched it to low and it’s still running at 3 fps, so I don’t think I’m playing this on Steam Deck for the time being. Hopefully the final version …

This games looks incredible. I love the retro sci-fi style. The gameplay is a bit too walking-simulatory with barely any actual interactivity except "press click to perform the next action", but still a good impression. It also reminded me that I really need to read some of Lem's work.
