An interesting and generally great visual novel. The pacing isn't particularly great, some of the dialogue is a little awkward, and the game is blatantly sexist throughout a lot of it. If you've played 999 and its sequels, this is an interesting dive to see what Uchikoshi was up to before those games. Also, the Special section has a bunch …

That ending was top tier stuff but MY GOODNESS the amount of repeated conversations and pointless talks about nothing made it SO HARD to get through. Not to mention about half the cast (Takeshi, Tsugumi, Sora) were all really unlikable.

I can see why this story was well loved back in the day, that ending is really epic but it's just about not worth the slog these days. Really was expecting better and I'm pretty let down. Also there are so many threads left unfinished still.
I can see the seeds of what the amazing Zero Escape games would become but it's just not here yet. I will note that stepping away from Cure Syndrome and focusing on Cure virus was a smart move since it has almost reasonable rules unlike syndrome. Also stable time loops are good and it was cathartic to see it used here.

It's got a lot of ground to make back up if it's going to get any sort of decent rating from me. At …

Playing the emulated patched psp version on my phone. Just got Tsugumi's good and bad endings. So far I'm not super impressed? I mean I shouldn't be surprised but everything this does well 999 did so much better.
Also can someone explain the difference between the Cure virus and Cure syndrome???

They seem to operate VERY differently but the continuity nod at the start of the game seems to indicate they are the same thing.
