Convoluting Things Is Not Synonymous With Advancing A Genre
Play: 6/10 Just too much RNG and tackiness. I never was a fan of that side of text adventures. Some call it "challenging," but I just call it "reloading." If all it is is RNG, and not in the sense that Rogue or dnd play you along in a masterful way, then why play..

Feel: 7/10 The settings the ideas, etc. are all great in concept but uff. Simply wasn't fun. Plus, no 100% completion even on Part 2 sadly. And the game was so convoluted.
Attachment: 6/10 Maybe... but almost definitely not. The worst of the Adams adventures I have played so far. He should have stopped with his classics. I'm worried about where RPGs and Adventures are going in my chronology project right now. They are increasingly equating convoluting things with advancing things.... it's a weird feeling but I am getting drawn to arcade-style and competitive games of this era instead. No wonder competitive games are still so popular now--the concept is becoming increasingly fun and alluring for me. That being said, I know arcade-style and competitive games also get more convoluted from here. I just am excited for when Adventure and RPG games hit the post-crash 80s consoles, or maybe they evolve before then. Excited to see.
