This is the kind of arcade-y game I love. SNKRX is a great coffee-break style game, being easy to pick up and quick enough to get a round in just about any time.

The presentation and gameplay are simple enough -- buy heroes, snake around the board and kill enemies, get gold, buy more heroes. It's a fun, fast-paced, tight gameplay loop that always feels good. The large variety of heroes you can choose -- each with a different style of attack, and divided into various classes which get buffed by stacking multiple heroes of the same class -- provides a ton of depth and replayability. It's satisfying discovering new synergies between classes, or trying out hero units you didn't before. Add in artifacts, which you're rewarded for defeating the bosses, and there's a lot more going on here than you'd expect from something this quick and breezy. But it never feels overwhelming.

SNKRX is definitely one of those "simple but addictive" kind of games. Plus the soundtrack is an absolute banger, too. And at a price point of $3, you'll absolutely get your money's worth out of this one.
