Main game
This demo's another metroidvania, with Mega Man X-flavored dashes and walljumps. Inviting direct comparison to one of the best-controlling 2D action games ever made seems maybe unwise, and maybe inevitably the movement here feels much worse. Also the dialogue is laughably rough, the density of combat is way too high for the genre, and Dark Souls dodge rolls are thoughtlessly glued on again.
The main gimmick this time is a techno-magical throwing knife that you can teleport to when it connects. It's a fun idea, but it's got a weird delay on the teleport that saps it of any cool factor, and the 360 degree aiming on your throws means that you're constantly getting diagonals when you meant to hit directly sideways or straight up.
