This was a fun game. Nothing more. I mean my favorite part probably was swinging through the city. It was a nice mechanism, even if I had a problem swinging through a bridge, because Spider-Man seems to not know how to swim. Anyway.

The game at first focuses on Dr. Connor/Lizard as a villain and that then leads to Morpheous and the game spends a lot of time there and then you fight Sandman and Venom (like in the movie), but the game hadn't invest there. That whole sub plot was really rushed and it was really weird, because the previous one was really big and it explained it.

Also everything that was in the movie was rushed. The Harry sub plot lasts for like 10 minutes, the MJ subplot is nowhere. Like 3 minutes are about that. And the whole Black suit negative side is explored for thirty seconds. The game could have done so much with all those main plots, but it decided to spend more than half of its runtime in the Lizard and Morpheous and I really can't understand why.

I would have liked to be able to play more as Peter and it would have been nice if you were able to do more small things as Spider-Man. That said once I was done with the main story, I was at 49%, so I guess the game let's you do more of those things.

The graphics are meh and while the cut scenes have some nice graphics, when playing they, are really paper thin and the buildings are the same. It is like the made a few buildings and a few people and then copied pasted them *100.

The game does have some fun combat and the swinging is cool, but it never explores it's characters and their depth is zero and also the story is so under developed and rushed. The game could have done many more things, especially with its characters.

Also twice the game stuck and I had to start again, losing some work done. And I only lost some because I save the game every time I complete a mission.

Revan1207's review of Spider-Man 3

I've never understood the hate for this game. Maybe it's just because I haven't played it for a while, but I remember this being a pretty fun game. Sure, the graphics aren't great and the controls (especially for the camera) are a little iffy sometimes, but I thought the gameplay was a lot of fun. I put lots of hours into Spider-Man 3 and played through the story several times. It's probably a lot of nostalgia or something, but I really don't think this was as bad as most people say it is.

I want to defend this game because I still enjoy it.

So despite having the latest and greatest, and this game is basically considered a buggy mess specially on PC, If you spent some time for the sake of seeing what it will offer?

well, It's actually good. "sort of"
