Sue Townsend created a phenomenon in the mid-1980s, essentially incorporating lots of sharp satire and observational humour into the diary of a confused teenager. It might sound like an odd idea for a computer game, but Level 9 felt that there was an adventure in there.

Preliminary: Ooooo, I love when a text adventure reports your percentage completed or earned at the end of the game! And to think, you can even go over 100% in this one. Unfortunately, it seems like it's more or less a "popularity" rating, tho that's still basically like earning points toward whatever "treasure"/"completion" percentage. I also have never even heard of these books, so we'll see how this goes :-p The teen angst humor that seems the focus of the book and game is up my alley! Hopefully 1985 will start off strong for text adventures, indeed!

After play: Super cute idea, unique Look, and some actually good humor -- which is rare in text adventures imo. What was exciting and fun the first 10 minutes, got quite old even with the allure of reaching 100% let alone 154% (somewhere around there is the true maximum percentage). Give this a try if you know the character and have the time! Otherwise quite passable
