I'm really digging this and it's a great break from the longer RPGs I've been playing recently. The combat grows on me more and more.

Astral Chain gave me everything I needed when it comes to an action game, the fighting system is awesome and really satisfying, the story is well told, the female character is so lovable even tho she doesn't talk. Astral Chain gave me everything I needed when it comes to an action game, the fighting system is awesome and really satisfying, the story is well told, the female character is so lovable even tho she doesn't talk. I was surprised by the amazing places I got to explore and being someone that doesn't usually do the side quests I found these really fun and didn't get bored with them like I usually do. The customization of characters and the humor make it a must play on the Switch! Love the fact that you can rescue cats :D

My god, the missions in this game are LONG! I saw a point in the mission I was just on that they could have broken it in two missions, but Noooo. I dunno about this game. I like it overall. But some of the controls are a little wonky and the story is kind of meh, so far.(7 hours in).

Alright, I have my first real complaint about this game; the controls for when you’re riding the beast legion are horrible. Alright, I have my first real complaint about this game; the controls for when you’re riding the beast legion are horrible. I can’t tell you how many times I fell off the map the level you acquire it due to just tapping the analog stick and it running five feet off the platform plummeting to my death. Not only is it super sensitive but for some reason even the smallest input leads to large movements. There is no room for precision with these controls and I haven’t been this aggravated over a mounts movement since Roach in the Witcher 3.

I really like it so far. Not a huge fan of the controls. But I'm getting used to them. Slowly....

So I broke down and purchased this game today taking a break from Ocarina of Time to try it out. Got about two hours in and tried it on the higher difficulty which may have been a mistake. My experience with these types of game is minimal so it was pretty difficult and I’m scoring D on most missions right now. Might step it down to the next lower difficulty and save the harder difficulty for further play throughs. I’m enjoying it so far though. It’s very anime, which is good for me. The legion gameplay feels good but a little basic and I would be worried if I hadn’t already heard the combat opens up a part way through the game.

I'm really tempted to pick this game up today. I'm only able to get one game this month (other than Link's Awakening since my wife is getting that) and I'm really torn on this, Daemon X Machina, Spyro Trilogy, or something off my backlog of old games I've been wanting to get. This is a really good month for Switch …

This is a really good month for Switch releases if you count Astral Chain as a September release which it basically is.

The more I see about this title, the more I like it. I know so little about it but the gameplay trailers look really interesting. They all speak so highly about what they're going after, I almost feel as if I owe it an honest try!
