A must play for Adventure Fans. An excellent homage to the original, highly inspirational game

This is a must-play for fans of Adventure. Fleshes out the mechanics and style of Adventure into something more like The Legend of Zelda (It's every bit as nonlinear as that too) Features and overworld with many dungeon worlds. has a 'meta' play space where you solve riddles and sometimes solve puzzles with aid of other external objects and items.

These puzzles are overall pretty great and satisfying (there are a few bitches tho). The only issue is the ones that require you to haul lots of stuff across the world without dying, that can be tedious and require multiple attempts. Bosses are awesome. (But I really dislike the final boss battle, though its a cool idea) Cutscenes when they happen are seldom but quite jaw-dropping. Music is top notch.. I absolutely love it.

Overall a pretty well made game. It's a perfect mix of fun and frustration, adventure and torment. lol. An incredible homage to Adventure and implements some quality of life improvements, such as roaming checkpoint save system, and accurate hitboxes. However, the game has several minor bugs as of this writing, but so far nothing game breaking. (for the love of god just make that damn …

(for the love of god just make that damn bridge wider!) The game is somewhat new, so hopefully they will quash the bugs over time. There were no dealbreakers for me, but a lot of annoyances that required restarts, which in this game is a minor problem.

I have few complaints for this game. My main complaint is I wish the manual was a little more fleshed out. That really could have been cool. A huge improvement would be a simple 'map' of the world or description of the 'worlds giving you some suggestion the order you go about them in... I was doing stuff in places I had no business in, hauling items from across the world the hard way (instead of using any portals, that I had not unlocked, because I didn't even know what they were, maybe) I figured , I had to come back to everything later anyway. (I had no idea THE RUINS was such a large dungeon and left it as soon as i could, mistakenly thinking i needed a new item to grab a key) The game has no hand-holding and is very open, just like The Legend of Zelda, to a fault. I didn't know I was supposed to clear areas before moving on deeper until i got totally stumped and looked up something that showed me how much I missed. (I found a high level boss (of THE CAVES) first waaaay before the others)

In any case great game as it is. would love to come back to it again if more is added, and hope any bug fixes are ironed out in this gaming shrine to Adventure! I could dock it for its bugs, but I don't think it deserves such. This is a beautiful game that I loved playing.

"In the name of the Code, and of the Disk, and of the Holy System. Our Core, which art in Data, Hallowed be Thy Code. Truth of all Truths. On Disk as it is on Screen. Forever and ever."

This is a great let's play to assist with the harder puzzles and complete the easter eggs: (i managed to get all but two)
