I'll write a full review for this at some point, but I did manage to finish the main game. I didn't 100% it because it took me SO long to defeat the Storm Emperor and raise the level cap. I would have had to grind and/or reassign my skill points in order to prep for the next elemental emperor battle, and I just felt like I'd gotten what I wanted out of the game.

Played the demo off and on for years and always enjoyed it. Nabbed this for 13 dollars a few days ago so I'm keen to finally play through the game. Started up story mode.

Beat the "old school" mode, not the story. Explored some of post-game but did not complete. Liked the music especially but found the grimoires more tedious than just having subclassing.

I have been playing Etrian Odyssey for a while now. I love the mapping because it speaks to me in a weird, nerdy way. But...I think my computer is evil and I am killing innocent sprites.

Has anyone played any of the games in the Etrian series? They pop up on sale on the Nintendo eShop frequently and I wonder if they are worthwhiloe.
