The Incredibly Broke
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

The Incredible Hulk is a giant leap from the first movie game, but the landing is botched. The game feels unfinished and plays unfinished.

The Good

  • Hulk is far more maneuverable. He can leap great distances, run faster, has more attacks and combos too.
  • The enemy variety is good. The only issue is that Enclave and US military foot soldiers are reskins of one another, but everything else is different; I really liked fighting the mechs the army use and the giants of the Enclave
  • Hulk can finally regenerate on his own, but he regenerates extremely slowly
  • Some suits have different sound files
  • The combo system isn’t that varied but it works. Light punches, heavy punches, punch into thunderclap, punch into hulk smash, throw enemies or objects, a ground pound. You can unlock special powers but only the thunderclap and the faster regeneration are worth it
  • Everything is destroyable
  • The game has actual faction wars. The military will attack the Enclave and the UFOES

The Bad

  • The game is buggy, no idea how stuff even got past playstesting. Hulk can destroy cars by just walking into them at slow speeds, cars spawning right in front of you due to the …

The Bad

  • The game is buggy, no idea how stuff even got past playstesting. Hulk can destroy cars by just walking into them at slow speeds, cars spawning right in front of you due to the bad FoV, enemies stop attacking and moving out of nowhere, Hulk sometimes stops dead on his tracks for like two seconds if an attack causes him to flinch, the game sometimes refuses to boot on modern Windows due to screen size issues
  • The game lacks the lightning and explosion effects of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. This causes the game to look dull and uninspiring, this is because they ported the Wii/PS2 version
  • The bosses are way too easy. You can just punch them down, throw stuff at them, run away while your health recovers and repeat. The only enemies that actually chase you down are the U-FOEs and the only boss that gave me trouble is Talbot because he can only be wounded when he is dizzy or by the car gauntlets
  • The plot is contradictory. The plot is about Bruce trying to get rid of the Hulk, but all the time he gets sent on missions that require him to use Hulk
  • The music is barely there. They didn’t even add the film’s main theme
  • The upgrade system is padding. You have to grind for almost all of the upgrades instead of getting them normally, you don’t grind them you will end up playing as a Hulk who barely jumps high and has little moves

Overall, The Incredible Hulk is a unfinished game
