Main game

I quiet enjoyed the first game, so ofc i will try the second game, had quiet different experience... I mean certainly not perfect but has its mind boggling issues.
Settings :
Apparently the game is a prequel which happen 3 years prior to the event of the first game. This time instead playing as the colonizer, you play as a native from some magical island.
Story :
What happen to an island with potential and resources? hell yeah amurica ! A madman has a kink of becoming and emperor to unite entire nation under his banner which proclaimed to solve war. yeah2 we heard this plot many times now. He saw an islander merge with spirit of the land and become monster and thought , hey lets use them as pets for wars. Obviously our hero wouldnt let that happen, he/she journey in every continents to get support to save her people and put a stop to the madman. Promising start but very weak towards the end. Final mission is too darn disappointing.
Gameplay :

Gameplay :
If u play the big RPG - BG3, Divinity etc, then these game try to follow the same directions. Except the customization and application is limited. U level up, u get sp points, attributes points and talents points , and since your hero can become any class, customize away ! except the combat barely make any difference so like me, im sticking gunner/hunter all the way. U talk with a lot of factions, gain some favours, some mad at you, choice make difference bla bla the usual
Combat :
Is a cluster fck. I dont know who play testing it and think its a good idea. Its like a hybdrid of action rpg + real time strategy with pause elements .it was a mess. they shud just stick the combat like first game or pick one type ! Doesnt help AI companion is too darn stoopid.
Graphics, Design, Environment:
Pretty good. I play in 4k so it really capture the essences.
Sounds:
Sound is whatever, i cant even remember single one except the song at the main menu lol VA good, except the female VA for the hero is too... idk what ascent its too thick. is it british? irish? lmao it bugged me
CONS : I HAVE A LOT OF ISSUES WITH IT HENCE THE 6.5.
Verdict : Despite all the issues, i have quiet an adventure and enjoyed it by evidence ive finished it and almost finished all companions quests ( didnt do nilan coz i hate the arrogant fella). I hope if they do next installment, please for god sake, forget these combat ever exist and do new one. ciao !
I just became aware of this, but you might wanna hold off on Greedfall 2 if you were considering it... Workers from the game's developer, Spiders, have been on strike since Aug 28 alleging gross mismanagement and abusive work conditions.
Bless that these folks work in France, where unionizing and striking is much more frequent and easier to do than in North America. I've seen a lot of really negative first impressions for this game, which releases to "Early Access" (lol sure dere okay bud yup) later this week, saying it's apparently not good and definitely not finished. Wonder why? 🧐
And to be fair, I like Spiders as a studio. Greedfall and Steelrising were both games I loved thematically but had major issues with. Still, I can see the people there are talented, and they deserve better than poor working conditions.
