SRPG combat with a small party but with occasional town/story parts that feel more like the standard JRPG.

I am enjoying the story, it's the standard chosen heroes who must chase the mcguffins, but it's executed especially well as the party feels heroic and the bad guys such irredeemable scum. The visuals are also really nice with great nature environments and detailed sprite-work.

Mechanically it's dreadfully mediocre. The battle maps are tiny areas that are mostly open and with the party size so small there isn't much room for tactics. You just make little formations that disallow enemies to get back/side attacks and hoid position until most of them are slaughtered. It's that way for every map. You're also required to grind out maps at regular intervials in order to succeed.
