Really fun and creative first person platformer. If you like katamari damacy you'll like this.
Preliminary: Even tho it seems to be exactly the first one again just new levels (Tho I am just starting), I do love the cute Look, the good music, the Jumping Flash hopping straightforward and frankly easy gameplay, and the settings. It's all such a quirky positive experience like the first one. Oh and the abiliuty to jump on enemies and shoot them. It's just so colorful straightfoward and fun, so I forgive this for basically being an expansion pack on the original.
What a very strange and lovable game, alreayd done with World 1

Day 1
Like with the first one I don't love the maze-like levels (2-2 for instance) since I most enjoy the jumping exploration. And I don't remember there being a time limit in the first one but it's been manageable so far.
I really do like these games. I'm hooked even tho I was gonna watch some of my movie. Something about them just enthralls me. I keep tensing my neck trying to look up tho lol and when I'm unsure I can use my triple jump to get to a platform.
Day 3
Like the first one, it's clunky. Not being able to turn …

Day 3
Like the first one, it's clunky. Not being able to turn mid air etc is messy, but it's just so hooking and fun and approachable and quick, I love the series anyway.
Okay the final boss? (or final boss of world 6) is finally actually difficult, but mostly cuz I have no special powerups, I used them all on the 6-2 boss smh :-p
Welp I managed it on the third try :-p
Such a very very strange game

Look: 9/10 I just love this era. And the settings, and the buildings, just eveyrthing I like about PS1 era graphics, and sort harkens the very soon upcoming Super Mario 64.
Sound: 9/10 A bop throughout
Play: 8.5/10 I dunno why I didn't give 9s for Look and Sound for the first one... And the Play for it too, since it was the first. But whatevs. Maybe when I replay the first one.
Feel: 9/10 Ah, right, after reading the review I kept thinking it'd be a 4 star but it had me hooked from start to finish. So yea honestly both 1 and 2 deserve a solid 5 star and a new series to love.
Attachment: 9/10 I think what also changed here is that, since I was hooked to the 2nd one too, I realize I should definitely return to the first one and it will likely get several 9s too, making me attached to this series more than I expected (and now confirmed I am by way of the 2nd one being addicting too)
Overall: 8.9/10
Completion: All main levels, no extra stuff etc just beat all worlds
Playtime: 1h 51m (that was a lot quicker than the 1st one? probly just cuz I knew what to do)
I've always had a real soft spot for Jumping Flash 1, so I thought I'd finally check out Robbit's second adventure for the letter J in the Grouvee Alphabet Challenge!

I've never played it so the nostalgia factor isn't there, of course. There's just no realistic way this iterative sequel could compare to my very first experience with 3D games, as a wide-eyed little kid in the demo kiosk of a decrepit Circuit City. Even so, Jumping Flash 2 is a better game than the first in every way that's measurable. It runs much more smoothly. It's got these delightfully absurd cutscenes between levels, where the original game's villain is forced to work together with Robbit to take down the even more heinous Captain Kabuki, a sort of punning, evil take on Katamari Damacy's King of All Cosmos. And crucially the level design is leagues better, with more novel locales besides the typical grass/desert/ice worlds, and a much clearer understanding of how to build playful spaces in 3D.
I reveled in JF2's gentle goofiness for most of its brief 3 hour running time, and the deviously tricky bonus stages were a consistent treat. But the real standout here is …

I reveled in JF2's gentle goofiness for most of its brief 3 hour running time, and the deviously tricky bonus stages were a consistent treat. But the real standout here is a level set in a moonlit theme park, complete with fireworks, concession stands, and rideable rollercoasters that you can use to zoom around in search of precious MuuMuus. That wonder I knew as a kid, at the endless possibility of our invented digital worlds, it's harder to access now that I'm ancient and weathered. Looking up at that bitcrushed night sky though, I felt it flicker.
All told it's just an incredibly simple and joyful little platformer, and definitely worth checking out if you need something to play for J!
