LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues

This is the first game where the larger openworld hubs were introduced and I have to say that I liked the main hub of part 1 much more. everything is unnecessarily spread over several worlds and annoying to collect. Also, the game doesn't offer that much more new than the first one, as the first three Indiana Jones films are also played here + Kingdom of the crystal skull. LEGO Indiana Jones 1 simply felt much more rounded and was more fun than this instalment.

The levels are short and stupid, the grander areas in the hubs are not worth the sacrifice on levels. The boss fights at the end of every movie are absolutely ludicrous. I even remarked to my girlfriend whom I was playing the game with that I "hoped that there'd be a giant cup monster" at the end of The Last Crusade, and then lo and behold, right in front of my eyes a whole host of grails spun into a tornado and made the closing chapter of the video game, just as nonsensical as the rest.

Play the first one, not the empty shell of the first one that this one is.
