Cool and stylish despite its' grievances in some parts

This game has some outdated annoyances but i felt it is pretty good. I wasn't expecting that at all. It's this janky Polish game that feels like a mix between Painkiller (I wonder if the jingling spurs in PK, could be a reference to the sound you make as you walk in this game?) and a stripped down version open world FPS game of some sort such as Might and Magic Dark Messiah.

The game is pretty narrative heavy and has the perfect tone for what it is, a drawn out interactive western where you alternate between two protagonists between missions. The game has a lot of notable concepts and ideas baked into it, some that haven't aged so well and some that were hijinks to begin with (such as fist fight and 'draw' scenes which feel about the same way they do in some of the fighting minigames, such as 'boxing' in Kingdom Come Deliverance) the two protagonists also have different skills and abilities. one carries a bible (for the word of god is sharper than any sword) the other carries a bullwhip. the bible doesn't seem to do anything but the whip lets you scale walls and climb things. The preacher character has a pretty neat bullet time mechanic where you have to alternate crosshairs that let you fire each barrel independently (sounds cooler than it is, but it is still a well done and interesting idea that is very useful at times) overall the weapons are pretty satisfying, and you play most of the game with two revolvers in each hand for both characters, and swap them out with slightly different versions as they wear out (you loot the dead)

Not terribly long, and had enough interesting things in it that were different that I found it well worthwhile.

So here are all the things it seems to share in common with the Painkiller games:

-Eastern European Developers -Features really weird and insane religious material, justifying violence in the name of God. -Spurs that jingle jangle jingle as you walk synced to the headbob. -Innovative and odd bullet time effects -Not one, but two protagonists that you alternate between every few missions

That's quite few commonalities, but I don't think this outfit is related to People can Fly, but perhaps the latter did take inspiration here. I'll be sure to check the rest of the series out.

Darn this game is so outdated.

Terrible duel system. I finished the game but still don't know how it works properly.

Also the bugs. Wow.

But considering the year it released. Game is okay. Fun is there.
