Fun, but at times confusing, tactical historic combat

This is an old title, so the graphics, and interface are very, VERY dated. If you can get past that, and like turn based strategy games, then I think you can have fun with this title.

This is an old title, so the graphics, and interface are very, VERY dated. If you can get past that, and like turn based strategy games, then I think you can have fun with this title.

Play thru various missions based on historic battles. What I found particularly fun with this game was how many lesser known battles were used in the game. Its not just D-Day, Stalingrad, ect. there are Polish fights, theoretical ones.

The turn based style works well, and rewards thought out and planned battles. Clicking quickly will not win you battles here, but rather thinking several turns ahead is the way to victory.

The combat stats are hidden in the background and at times difficult to really understand why one troop beats the other. Despite this failing, this is a fun old gem, that you can get some real enjoyment from.

Too buggy to be even playable

An extremely shitty game full of bugs with broken war mechanics, horrible graphics and boring game play (when it's not buggy). The game wasn't even playable. Stop praising everything old just because it's old. This game was pure garbage. I couldn't care less for nostalgia of old things if they are pure garbage.
