I've always admired Runescape from afar. I started my MMORPG 'career' in Shadowbane, and then Everquest 2, then finally moved into World of Warcraft seriously by the end of its first expansion and have been in WoW and FFXIV ever since. But I always try the new MMO's, always looking for that feeling of jumping into a new world and living in it for a while. Every game except for Runescape. There was something impenetrable about it from afar and I just never jumped in. I never knew I was waiting for something like Dragonwilds until it was announced. The opportunityt o live in this world with so much building already happening on it through the MMO's it follows.

A survival game in the Runescape universe was a dream announcement for someonlike me. Unfortunately I do think it hit Early Access a little too early. It gets regular updates, and from what I've played, the fundamentals are there. This could eventually reach the genre's Mount Rushmoore. For now, I'd give it another year of baking before I jumped in, but keep it on your wishlist. This could be big.
