Foxhole's latest Naval Warfare update has brought my obsessive attention to bare.

Having left it in the Flanders Field of early access, it has belly crawled its way back into a behemoth of niche. It is still weighed down by a must-read wiki. Its controls, while at first seem simple, are spilled into the corners of keyboard interface like a tipped soda when it comes to world interactivity. Frustrating. Sticky.

Yet, (when it comes together) it captures a level of teamwork and logistics that I can only describe as cathartic. Moments fit for Saving Private Ryan while offering an echo of horror that ww2 must have been for infantry. Truly a Dad game. I'm hooked.
