Adventure Quest

Play: 6/10 I don't usually play games on BBC Micro, but a) that's the original version of this game apparently, and b) I came upon the BBC Micro Games Archive which lets you play it online as it originally was--nice. Good, fast typing and I like the startup sounds lol. As this was the original release, there is no graphics, tho I did peek at the ZX Spectrum graphics out of curiosity. Sometimes I like sraightup text text adventures, so it was no problem :-p

Feel: 7/10 I dig the setting, the concept/story, and the elemental stones/fantasy RPG vibes it gave (without being too elaborate or convoluted, thankfully). Nonetheless, it became tedium. I like that it isn't purely RNG-based for whether you can survive, but it still feels tedious and overly done. Maybe I will return to it, because I really do like the concepts and how you defeat the enemies along the way. Just felt a bit like a chore at this point in '83.

Attachment: 7/10 I do feel like I might return to this to give it a more earnest try. But when I will return to text adventures as I get into the DOS and console era is probly questionable.
