I really wanted to like this game. RPG games in this style of turn based and 16 bit graphics always had a soft spot in my heart. They remind me of the good old days when I had no worries and I could play things at my own pace and enjoy everything the game had to offer. Combine that with the fact that Cthulhu is the main character and there should be a high probability that I would love this!

Unfortunately, I didn't... I forgot how much dialogue has to be read in these games. Just talking, without any gameplay. It was a lot. And the writing was not bad, although I did find some of the jokes very silly, and not funny...but others were good! For me it was half and half.

The game did drag on too much at the end. Maybe the issue is that I was streaming this game and I expected it to finish at a certain point, but then it didn't... and a planned 2 hour stream turned into 4 and a half hours!

The music is very cool, though. Especially how they use Christmas music and turned it into creepy stuff. That was good. I wonder how good it would soudlnd if it was recorded with real instruments? Also, the level design of the dungeons was simple to follow along and they felt well thought of.

I was planning to play the sequel, but I think not. I am pretty sure things game can be enjoyed by a lot of people, but not me right now.
