Pearl is the first Google Spotlight Stories game I played. It had been sitting in my library for forever because I usually play multiplayer games in VR. But one day I had enough of my procrastination and told my partner I was going to play a VR game by myself and loaded it up.

The game instructs you to sit down in a chair, so make sure you have one handy. Due to how short it is, I won't reveal much except to say it's like a road trip music video and it sure was a wonderful experience. It is now one of my favorite VR "games". I put games in quotes because there is no gameplay, and it is considered a film, one that was nominated for an Academy Award. A VR experience being nominated for anything is wild considering how new and non-mainstream the platform is.

If you have VR, I highly recommend giving this free experience a try. If you don't have VR, you can watch it on Youtube.
