I beat this game several years ago and thus barely remember anything about it. The most memorable aspect is the setting; the unusual color palette for the world, bizarre biomes and sense that the world was colonized long ago by an advanced spacefaring civilization that has regressed to using swords. The character races are just as bizarre as the plant life and give the impression that the ancients played around with genetic engineering a lot. The other memorable aspect is the lack of mana and that spells cost hp. This kind of system makes me think of blood magic, with the characters slitting their palms for each spell, but that is probably not what they are doing in this game. Spending hp on magic does discourage its use but I tend to conserve mana for healing and rely more on physical attacks anyway. Overall decent game that my notes say I gave 6.5/10. Maybe bump it up to 6.8, 7 at the absolute most.

I ended with both heroes at level 58 and the other 2 party members being Hawk and Mouth, both level 59. The guy hero has rage helm, wind sword, gabni shield, storm armor, gravity boots and giga belt 9. His fire magic is maxed and spirit is about 90% maxed. Other magic schools are barely used. Girl hero has Sph crown, sword and ring, Cosmo cloak, wind boots, giga belt 8. Her air and earth magic are maxed. Lightning and water are about 50%, spirit 30% and others close to 0. Now I recall the stupid Breath of Fire abbreviations in this game.
