I feel really bad for saying this, but I'm playing Volume, I'm 15% of the way through, and I'm a bit bored.

Does is get any better, or is it just a bit more of the same, but a bit more complex? I mean I do love my puzzle games, but this one just doesn't seem to have a hook. I hate giving up on a game, and rarely do, but I'm starting to feel like my time could be spent actually enjoying something.

The story is unwieldy, but the mechanics in the second-by-second gameplay are solid. It's more of a puzzle game than a stealth, which makes it enjoyable, but without a remarkable story it's just that; a series of stages with no extravagant glue holding them together. Thomas Was Alone taught us that Bithell was capable of putting it all together …
