Wish I'd seen it back in its prime

I played a lot of Left4Dead so this drew me in, but I definitely didnt find it until later. There's no one playing online which makes this basically single player unless you know a friend who also has it.

As a single player game its very limited and doesn't tell you much at all. Left4Dead is much more straightforward in that you need to (1) go from A to B and (2) shoot zombies that get in your way. Instead of moving from place to place the objectives in WN2 are essentially collectables that you must find before the monster gets you.

Playing zombies in l4d is straightforward in that each special infected has an obvious ability; the difficulty comes in when you attack and working together with other infected. In wn2, you are only 1 monster so you have to yourself track down and incapacitate a human. The AI is not great in very simple ways, they will keep walking toward you which means they get caught despite stunning you as the monster.

Its basically a scary game of tag, but I dig it. Not sure if its totally balanced or well thought through, but has a great idea underneath it. I just wish it gave you AI teammates when playing as investigator in single player. As it stands it is fun to play a bit to unlock new monsters and skins, but probably will be done done with this game in a bit, which is a shame because there's a lot to love.
