Now in VR!

I played this in "pancake mode" several years ago and very much enjoyed the plot and the atmosphere. (see what I did there?).

This time, I installed it and played over wireless Virtual Desktop from Steam on my Gen1 Oculus Quest.

Wow!!

I was amazed! I was actually holding my breath trying to conserve air in my suit, which clearly didn't help the situation.

Looking around the station was great. The controls took a few minutes to grok, but were easy to use and enjoyable overall. If only I hadn't played this before and could play the entire thing this way, I'd love it....but there's just too much to be replaying games I know unless it REALLY deviates from the original.

Overall, I'd recommend the game, and if you have the ability, do it in VR. You'll love it.

~David.

A pretty simple (boring even) game where you float around a wrecked space station trying to repair it so you can go home, listening to and reading crew logs as you go. Your only enemy is the cold, vacuum of space and the suffocation it can bring if you get cocky or lost. It actually gets easier as you go since your suit gets repaired thus allowing you to re-up on oxygen less and move faster. You can theoretically beat the game in ~2 hours (there's a trophy for it), but it took me about 4 to 5.

I CANNOT for the life of me figure out a smooth way to use the controls, spent almost an hour. Kept bumping into things and dying. Might just be me :(

Looks nice, plays well. But I quit after I realized that I've basically to do the same mission five or six times to beat the game. This could have been much more than just a tech demo.
