CONS
There is only about 2 hours worth of game and 15 minutes of story repeated over that time.
It is in an interesting but spartan story and the music is nice and the sound effects being all human voiced is great!
You pick paths and explore every divergence but it is like a gussied up twine game. If that sounds like something interesting it will be. If no, it will not.
Incredibly attractive with clean shapes, smooth gradients and tidy outline work, Burly Men at Sea doesn't impress with a narrative that's necessary for a (extremely) short adventure game.
Choose your own adventure at sea. Lots of different endings. Not a lot of excitement. Simple, clean art style with nice enough music, but I didn’t really vibe with the game. It’s short though so I did explore every ending.
Una cosetta semplice, deliziosa, breve ma con tutto sommato un bel po' di cose da scoprire giocando e rigiocando.
Clean, minimal visual design with an ultra-minimal UI combined with a threadbare plot made me leave this virtual toy/story-maker rather more quickly than I anticipated. It did not manage to entice me enough to try other options and additional play-throughs.
If you like minimalism and ethereal atmosphere, this might better fit you.
Got 1 ending into this to know the game is simply not for me, or at the very least better for a handheld setting if I'm ever going to give it a fair shake.
I'm so stuck in this game. There are alternate paths left for me to explore, but I can't figure out how to take them.
