When it comes to music-generated games, Audiosurf is my go-to platform. That's not to say that other games of this type are dissatisfactory because many of them bring different mechanics to breathe new life into the music library. The latest example I've bought is Riff Racer, which is reminiscent of TrackMania games, only to be brought into a neon-light sky setting.
The tracks are built by the songs, so curves, loops and obstacles are synced after the track's structure, beat and dynamics, which also can affect the difficulty level of each. It pleases me to say that the team has just found the right tweak for the track generator to time the loops and gaps after the song structure correctly (such as verse into chorus).
Besides that, the global score system also records the player's movements so that you can compete with your peers visually to attain the higher score. I think I'm gonna have a good time re-experiencing my favorite songs and compete with others, because even in less popular genres, there's usually someone else who tried it first.
