If you reboot an old game you're supposed to fix its flaws
Valhalla Hills is a spiritual successor to games like Settlers 2 (1996). Unfortunately, it suffers from some of the same problems. Warriors won't protect your people unless an enemy comes close enough. Workers/warriors won't collect tools/weapons sometimes. Workers will stand around and get killed by ghosts because of this. It's just not worth the frustration.
