Puppet House is a puzzle-only Resident Evil type game. I’ve been a huge fan of the style lately - from the outstanding Tartarus Key to the near perfect and enigmatic Lorelei and the Laser Eyes.

But Puppet House is… generic. I had low expectations going in, given the cliche haunted doll subject matter. It seemed like a game probably flooded with Unity assets, and not an original bone in its body.

And it’s not not that, but it’s also pretty cohesive and well presented. The puzzles are very straight forward and the runtime is only a couple hours. I didn’t hate it, but it’s about as run of the mill generic as you can get.

If you’re in the mood for a brainless escape room game with a decent horror atmosphere, this will do the job. But otherwise, play the other 2 games mentioned.
