Russian pirate RPG feels like subgrade mount and blade.

enter image description here neat idea. enter image description here neat idea. A bit like mount and blade but janky and buggy. not as action based as it looks. most things are done through menus and a 'fast travel' type interface... the awful controls impede its ability as an 'action game' and even basic things (like sailing) are nigh impossible. In addition its not a proper english translation that not only makes NPCS reptitive and hokey...but makes the game take a while to learn to figure out how to do even basic things (like fast trave, or move the ship on the main mapl). The game fails in all traditional respects. It does actually look and feel nice in that you can switch between first and third person modes (including the ship itself) walk around towns and through your ship to some extent. but that dont cut it.

enter image description here It does however have a SPECIAL system (called PIRATES) and perks and skills on the character screen, All of which are actually in the same places that they were in Fallout 2. You even have three character presets you can then modify. (sound familiar?)

quests are radiant and repeitive but there are main quests i didnt give this a chance as it was just too clunky and unstable (lots of crashes)

I was quite curious to see this 'series' (Pirates, Seadogs, Pirates of the carribean) in that a few of them are 1C+Bethesda crossovers. The same developer made Metal Heart (which should have been a warning to me) I also saw a screen of that SPECIAL rip off, and took the bait. Games like Mount and Blade and even Kenshi are neat, this is a bit like that but also a bit not. Game looked cooler than it is. oh well.
