Put simply, this is a game about rotating stuff until it turns into other stuff. I don't mind the concept, but this game is very sorely in need of a complete UI revamp.

They intentionally avoid using text in all forms, trying to use the show-not-tell form of teaching. Normally that's great! But this was not done well. Even the menus are unclear, I rarely knew what each option would do, so it was a lot of trial-and-error trying to figure out which blob does the action you're looking for.

It would've been great if they gave you some direction while you're in puzzle mode, so you have an idea of what new object you're supposed to be aiming for, but to get that info you have to exit the level, back out through several menus, look it up, and then go all the way back in again. This just didn't hit the mark it was aiming at.

Chill Yet Challenging

Binoculars looking into a very saturated landscape

My first impression of Vignettes was that it reminded me a lot of Gnog in terms of its overall vibe. But throughout my play session I think I grew to like it just a little more. It strikes a nice balance between easy, unexpected surprises and head-scratching secrets.
