There's nothing redeeming here and I will not waste your time. This series only ever got this one video game and it's not one of those scenarios where any sort of love shines through. Rather, it's pitiful and arguably a willful hit job.
The one memorable positive is that you are playing a crew that is intended to have a diverse, magical moveset. In that, they succeed, none of the flying, superhero fairy kids feels the same, which is a lot to squeeze out a single action button in a small title. The differences are distinctive enough that you'll develop favorites or, with the exception of the Earth girl, simply use your preconceived ones.
The crux is that the game is not fun. Moving through levels is a chore, I felt personally betrayed when the internet lied about it only having 20. Everywhere else, it's shovels and more shovels. Non-animated PNG's crudely copied from TV stills are the cutscenes. The music is the same with wire tear. Enemies are unreadable and characters look like compressed stick figures.
This game is running the clock, introducing simple yet arcane boss fights and peeling away every hair it can get out of its 'find all the portals' and 'escort the sleepy kid' gimmicks. Neither of you want to be there, so be the bigger person and leave first.
