Yes, I'm still playing Clash of Clans. I just got Level 10 Town Hall. This is a big accomplishment. :)

Sort of Fun. Not Much Depth, Though.

This game, like so many of its ilk, starts out fun. You build your village and upgrade stuff. The combat is fun at first, and successfully defending your village is a thrill.

Unfortunately, nearly all of the depth is fake, and eventually, unless you want to make micropayments, everything takes forever to upgrade, effectively placing an artificial ceiling on things. …

Unfortunately, nearly all of the depth is fake, and eventually, unless you want to make micropayments, everything takes forever to upgrade, effectively placing an artificial ceiling on things. I'm probably being a bit harsh, after all, I put a number of hours into this (more than most of the games I've played, in reality), but the highs weren't all that high, and that plateau made me wonder what I saw in the game to begin with.
