Splatoon 2 is a multiplayer third-person shooter in which players control characters known as Inklings and use colored ink to attack opponents and clear goals. Inklings can alternate between humanoid form, during which they can fire ink with their weapons, and squid form, which allows them to swim through ink of their own color in order to move quickly and replenish ink supplies.

Made it to max rank for the Splatfest on Team Donnie - Donnie King! Mostly used the N-Zap '89 - Turf War as a mode feels kind of weapon limiting if you're soloing. Splatoon 1 was a fantastic and original idea. For every step forward Nintendo took with the sequel they took two large steps backwards. Particularly egregious is the ranked mode. The ranked mode in this game does not allow you to play arguably the best mode, splat zones, until you reach Rank B. Up until that point you are stuck playing alternative modes that aren't as fun and can be downright infuriating when teammates leave or are just bad at the game.

Voice chat is garbage and is objectively a botched opportunity. I love the PVE mode but unfortunately you are not allow to access it whenever you want. The reasoning behind this is maddeningly never explained. I hope that Splatoon 3 will fare better but I won't be paying any money without reviews anymore. Really it is a better game than a 2 but it is such a squandered opportunity that I feel many others might be as frustrated as me and should therefore stay away.
