Intro

Karateka is a fighting game. You walk along a road fighting enemies.

Review

This is a remake of an ancient game and it is really really awful. You walk with Q (??) to an enemy and then you "fight". The "fighting" consists of waiting for the audio cue to block once or more before you can actually hit the enemy. You can't look at the enemy movement to determine when to block, you will be too late. After blocking you get a few free hits with the enemy just standing there like a dildo. Then it repeats. You get chi by blocking, allowing you to stun the enemy once every few fights. Sometimes flowers appear between fights letting you heal.

This is the entire game. I'm not joking. There is literally nothing more to it. There is no jumping, no combos, no abilities, nothing. Basically any fighting game i used to play as a kid (Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 2, Double Dragon 2) is wildly, vastly superior to this. I wouldn't play this if they paid me.
