I ordered this one at last! I wanted to play since its launch, but there are too many games and money is not infinite (nor I should buy infinite games).

Although most of the games nominated in the Games for Impact award category fill out half my top ten favourite games of 2023, meaning I’d have been happy if almost any of them won, I am happy for Tchia.

After a few hours, I' d say I'm enjoying it but not without reservations. The traversal and exploration feels smooth enough, although running and jumping feels a bit too floaty. After a few hours, I' d say I'm enjoying it but not without reservations. The traversal and exploration feels smooth enough, although running and jumping feels a bit too floaty. The story seems to be rather generic; but I like the setting and the weird elements like a still-living decapitated chicken and strange wooden people that speak like drums. It's also got weird little bits of humour that I liked.

One core issue that I predict will be getting worse by the minute is that the game has nothing with which to reward exploration except meaningless collectibles so after hours combing through the island I only have more tshirts, necklaces and shoes that I don't care about.

I wanted to like this game, and it has a lot going for it, but compelling gameplay is not one of those things. I found it tedious to the point that I just hit a wall and couldn't get myself to play it anymore.

Finished Tchia today and I’m still processing it because it was a lot, but I will say I adored it.

P.S. @georgeypoorgey, there is combat, especially later in the game. It involves one of the core mechanics of the game so it’s not conventional combat but the game isn’t 100% exploration.

I played a few hours last night and really enjoyed myself. It's much more open world with a light touch of immersive sim than I expected. The comparisons to BotW and Wind Waker make sense, but the game is very much it's own thing and is quite wonderful.

This game looks SO good. I will wait until the physical release, but I will definitely enjoy this one a lot!

This site sucks for letting people rate games that haven't released yet.

I was planning to buy this regardless, but it is launching on PS Plus. Looking forward to it because it looks like a wonderful little adventure game. A little bit Wind Waker meets Alba.

This looks wonderful, and the to lead devs are from New Caledonia, which is where it’s set so I have high hopes for the storytelling in this.
