The main problem with Soulstice is that you don't feel like you're in control. The game constantly interrupts the action for cutscenes. Outside of combat (and sometimes during) the camera is fixed in an incredibly awkward way, sometimes shifting perspective in a vomit-inducing way. This is especially weird because the world is 3D and they put effort into making it look good. The game is also completely linear and even the skill tree seems to be fairly linear too. Finally, the weirdest part is that it will show a counter/block prompt when it's already too late to stop an enemy attack. You press F expecting to be safe but then you get hurt.
The entire game loop goes something like this: Lengthy cutscene > awkward fixed camera platforming > tutorial you have to close with Enter > not particularly interesting combat > when you kill the final enemy everything shows down and it shows a score screen you have to close with Enter > cutscene >platforming > cutscene > tutorial > combat > cutscene. It's a very unpleasant experience.
