really, really fun once you get the hang of it - and don't go into it thinking it's gonna be a boomer shooter like i did, or you'll want to rage quit the first 2 levels in.

i liked what i saw, and i liked what i played, but oh my god the lag was unbearable and made it unplayable. despite that, i had a great time before it got bad. hopefully the sequel, beyond citadel, fixes this.

the story is very basic, thus far, but i adore the worldbuilding, the aesthetic, and the presentation of it all. it's very clear this was made from a place of passion by the singular (!) dev, from the homages to older boomer shooters and 80s anime, to the barely disguised guro fetish. it's also a very impressive project and the dev has great, great potential!

i recommend this game, because maybe it won't lag really bad for you. i think if i was able to finish it, i would've rated it 5/5, but y'know.
